CCC We Care - Project Merritt Street Park

Saturday March 17, 2018 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

CCC We Care: Merritt Street Park Cleanup Project

The Castro Country Club introduces: CCC We Care. Our goal is to reach out into our community and extend a helping hand. Drawing from our passion for service, we will work as a team to the betterment of our neighborhoods.

Our first project is to invite our fellows to help us clean a small open space/park in the Castro located near Market and 18th Street. It is bordered by Danvers and Merritt Streets.

San Francisco has many small street parks/open spaces that are neglected, overgrown and filled with dangerous debris. Recently, eleven of those spaces have been cleaned out by other caring groups and are now healthy, safe, beautiful, peaceful and inviting gardens. We have been given the opportunity to contribute to that effort. Our participation will help accelerate the efforts to restore even more small open spaces in our community.

Please join us on Saturday March 17th at 9 a.m. at Merritt Street park to help clean this beautiful space. Gardening supplies, gloves, Castro Country Club t-shirts, coffee, drinks, and snacks will all be provided. Come enjoy the sunshine, spend some time getting to know your fellows, and help us make a difference in our neighborhood.
